The assembly connects an upper wide-flange steel column to a lower wide-flange steel column using outside flange plates secured with ASTM A325 erection bolts and single web plates with filler or shim plates as required. Welds connect the plates to the respective column flanges and webs. A WF gravity column schedule is included to specify plate thicknesses and weld sizes for different story heights and column sizes.
