A pipe passes through a concrete slab inside a protective sleeve located near the bottom reinforcing steel. The bottom reinforcement matches typical sizing with a 2-inch minimum clearance. A minimum 3-foot lap splice is provided for the reinforcement around the penetration. The pipe and sleeve maintain required clearances from surrounding concrete and rebar.
