An existing glued laminated timber beam connects to an adjacent glued laminated timber member using an existing hinge hanger. Four-times anchor straps occur at the existing roof plywood assembly. Steel plates are positioned on both sides and secured with one-inch diameter bolts as required. A bolted tie is detailed per plan on both sides of the existing glued laminated timber.
