A lower glued-laminated column splice and panel joint connection features a nested pipe assembly centered on the grids. The assembly incorporates a glued-laminated beam below, three-quarter inch by four-inch smooth dowels in seven-eighth inch holes, and panel-to-panel spline connections. Fastening is executed using thirteen SDCP27614 screws arranged in six equal spaces per the screw layout plan. The surrounding construction includes two-way corridor cross-laminated timber with two layers of gypsum board and one-way exposed cross-laminated timber panels.
