An elevator rail support post bottom flange brace connects to a structural steel tube and beam assembly using an L6x4x3/8 angle with long legs vertical on each side of the tube with vertical slotted bolt holes. A one-quarter inch fillet weld attaches the connection components. A two-and-a-half-inch vertical clearance is maintained between the framing members.
