Continuous standard horizontal bridging consists of L-1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 1/4 angle members arranged in cross-bracing between structural roof joists or beams spaced at a maximum of six feet on center. Connection plates measuring one-quarter inch thick are placed at the intersection points and beam flanges. Bolts secure the angles at each intersection and connection point.
