Two-sided beam-to-beam connections frame into a supporting steel girder with shear tabs and bolts sized per plan. For beam depth differences greater than one inch, a WT shape matches the flange width of the beam and is welded to the beam with a quarter-inch fillet weld extending two feet. For beam depth differences of one inch or less, standard shear tab connections are used with complete joint penetration welds at the top and bottom flanges. Weld backup plates are omitted for clarity, and bolt spacing and edge distances follow AISC specifications.
