This assembly consists of an eighteen-inch diameter round concrete column supported by a six-foot-six-inch wide concrete footing. The column is reinforced with six number seven vertical bars and number three round ties spaced as specified. The footing is reinforced with five number five bars each way at the top and bottom mats. Vertical column bars are anchored into the footing with standard hooks, and a lap splice is provided within the center half of the column height, maintaining a minimum length of forty bar diameters. Footing ties are spaced at five inches on center at the top and four and one-half inches on center at the bottom mat.
