A reinforced concrete stair assembly bears against a vertical retaining wall supported by a continuous concrete footing. The stair slab is reinforced with continuous fifteen-millimeter bars spaced at twelve inches on center and ten-millimeter bars at twelve inches, maintaining a one-inch clearance. The retaining wall incorporates one fifteen-millimeter bar continuous each face, with twenty-millimeter continuous bars at the base. A sidewalk abuts the lower stair landing at an elevation tied to the main foundation level.
