A hollow structural section column ties into the assembly via a connection plate secured by four seven-eighths inch diameter high-strength bolts. A five-sixteenths inch fillet weld with a field weld indicator joins the members along the specified joint line. Centerlines establish the alignment of the hollow structural sections in both orthogonal directions.
