A diagonal brace frames into a gusset plate welded to a hollow structural section column and floor beam assembly. A quarter-inch stiffener plate is provided where no perpendicular beam occurs. Floor connections and beam sizes are sized per plan, with five-sixteenth-inch welds securing the HSS column. Workpoints and centerlines align the intersecting axes of the column, beam, and brace.
