A reinforced concrete equipment pad rests atop a structural concrete slab with a one-inch clear edge distance and a tooled perimeter edge. The pad is secured using one-half-inch diameter expansion bolts with nuts located at two feet eight inches on center each way. Alternatively, the contractor may use number four hooked rebar drilled and epoxied in place using Hilti HY-150 or an approved equivalent with a three-and-a-half-inch minimum embedment. A reinforcement schedule correlates pad thicknesses ranging from four inches to one foot six inches with corresponding number four reinforcing spacings in each direction.
