These structural details illustrate various steel beam framing connections supported by hollow structural section or wide-flange columns and girders. The first detail shows a steel beam framing into a column with a full-depth web plate welded with five-eighths inch fillets and fastened using three rows of five seven-eighths inch diameter high-strength bolts totaling fifteen bolts, supplemented by top and bottom plate connections. The second detail shows a similar beam connection utilizing a five-eighths by ten-inch by one-foot seven-inch plate welded with five-sixteenths inch welds. The third detail presents a beam-to-girder connection utilizing bolts specified per schedule and stiffener plates detailed on sheet S-015.
