Welded wire fabric is set one inch below the top of the concrete deck slab using flat sheets. Typical welded wire fabric is specified as six by six W two point zero by W two point zero size unless otherwise noted. Wire laps occur at the midspan of the deck slab with tip-to-tip wire placement plus two two-inch ends. Sections A-A and B-B illustrate the overlapping sequence of the wire mesh layers.
