Low pressure ducts are suspended from the building structure using various configurations of hanger straps, threaded rods, and support angles. Strap hangers secure rectangular ducts with screws and a minimum one-and-a-half-inch strap width, with gauge sized per load and a maximum forty-eight-inch spacing. Round ducts utilize band straps or clamp hangers with hex nuts and a maximum twenty-four-inch diameter. Threaded hanger rods connect to the building structure with minimum three-eighths-inch diameter bolts, incorporating spring isolators where required by design.
