A post-tensioned concrete slab thickness transition features post-tensioned beams on either side of a stepped floor profile. The assembly incorporates post-tensioned tendons and slab reinforcing per plan, supplemented by four number four top bars and a Z-bar at the thickness break. An exterior topping slab is installed over weatherproofing per the architectural drawings, with the exterior slab sloped as required and a one-inch chamfer formed at the lower beam edge.
