A security door installation shows a plan and elevation view with associated access control components including a card reader, request-to-exit motion detector, electric lock, and door contact. The normal door state is closed at all times and locked on the non-protected side. Card presentation on the non-protected side unlocks the door while the request-to-exit motion detector bypasses the alarm only on exit.
