An HSS 5x5 hollow structural section steel column is welded to a three-quarter-inch by twelve-inch by one-foot embed plate set flush with the top of the concrete slab at elevation +92'-0". The column attaches to the plate with a one-quarter-inch fillet weld on four sides on flats only, field-verified by a field weld symbol. Four three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch long headed shear studs anchor the embed plate into the reinforced concrete slab.
