A perimeter hollow structural section beam, sized HSS8x8x1/4, bears on a concrete column. The connection utilizes a 3/8-inch by 1-foot by 1-foot steel plate embedded into the concrete with four 3/4-inch diameter welded stud anchors at a 9-inch gauge and 9-inch embedment depth. Three #3 ties spaced at 2 inches on center are provided at the top of the concrete column. Additional column reinforcement and ties are sized per detail 16/S0.11.
