This assembly supports a sun screen panel using a vertical hollow structural section 4x4x3/8 intermediate post located at panel joints. The post is welded to a wide flange beam or hollow structural section beam above using L3x3x3/8 angles at five inches long on each side, secured with typical one-quarter inch fillet welds. The intermediate post terminates at a lower hollow structural section beam, with connections welded on the near side and far side using one-quarter inch fillet welds. Sun screen panel attachments are provided per delegated design, and all top of steel elevations are per plan.
