An interior concrete slab on grade and exterior slab bear on a concrete foundation wall supported by a concrete footing. Horizontal wall reinforcement and continuous top and bottom reinforcement run through the concrete wall. Vertical dowels matching the vertical wall reinforcement extend from the footing up into the slab and wall junction. Construction joints are detailed between the slabs with roughened surfaces specified to one-quarter inch amplitude.
