A diagonal brace frames into the midspan of a wide flange beam. The connection incorporates a diagonal brace member meeting the beam web and flange at a designated work point. The horizontal legs of the connecting angles are mitered, and the vertical legs below are trimmed with a one-inch maximum clearance dimension. Five-sixteenths inch fillet welds secure the connection assembly.
