This assembly consists of a recessed concrete pit for a dock leveler, framed with embedded steel angles along the perimeter of the slab opening. The steel angles are anchored into the concrete slab and pit walls to provide a durable edge for the dock leveler equipment. Control joints are located at the corners of the pit to manage concrete shrinkage and cracking. All critical dimensions for the pit opening and depth are to be verified with the dock leveler supplier to ensure proper fitment of the mechanical unit.
