A steel beam frames into a concrete panel joint using a half-inch by seventeen-inch plate equipped with nine three-quarter-inch diameter welded stud anchors at seven-inch gauge, paired with a shear plate whose thickness is determined by the beam size from a companion schedule. Three-quarter-inch by three-inch square plates and one-quarter-inch fillet welds secure the embedded assembly, while A325-SC bolts fasten the beam web with counts ranging from three to nine depending on the W-shape member. A field weld is specified at the down face of the panel plate, which is set flush with the face of concrete. An open-web steel joist or truss bears on a supporting wide-flange steel beam, anchored with three-by-three-by-one-quarter-inch angles at each truss and welded with quarter-inch fillet welds. Reinforcing steel includes one number-five bar by four feet zero inches minimum at the top and bottom of the connection.
