A typical steel stud wall bridging and sill connection assembly uses continuous metal bridging and clip angles. The continuous bridging member consists of a 1.5-inch by 1.5-inch by 54-mil channel attached to the wall studs using a clip angle secured with two number 12 screws into the bridging and two number 12 screws into each stud. A stiffened clip angle connects the steel stud sill to the steel stud jamb with number 10 screws fastened to each flange of each stud.
