Metal stud framing is supported by a continuous bottom track anchored directly to an existing concrete slab using zero-point-one-eighty-inch diameter power-driven shot pins spaced at sixteen inches on center. Gypsum board is attached to the track, and partition studs receive finishes as specified on architectural drawings. Full-height walls require a minimum eighteen-gauge bottom track. The track is fastened to studs at each flange using number eight screws.
