This connection features an L4x4x1/4 angle brace attached to a braced frame beam. A 1/4 inch stiffener plate is welded to the beam web using a 1/4 inch fillet weld on three sides. The angle brace is connected to the beam or joist at both ends with a 3/16 inch fillet weld. The deck is omitted from the drawing for clarity.
