A structural steel column base plate plan features four corner anchor bolts set symmetrically with equal spacings and two-inch edge clearances. A four-inch diameter grout hole is positioned at the center of the base plate, matching the anchor bolt hole size. The column profile is welded to the base plate using a five-sixteenth inch fillet weld or AWS minimum specification. Plate length and width dimensions are sized per schedule, with centerlines aligned to plan coordinates.
