A structural steel angle spanning beneath a roof deck opening measuring a maximum of one foot four inches each way. The angle is an L3x2x1/4 by three feet eight inches long, positioned with long leg horizontal and centered on the opening. Three one-half-inch self-drilling screws fasten the deck into the supporting angle through two valleys on each side of the opening.
