Light gauge steel studs connect to the sill track, which matches the size and gauge of the wall studs. The sill track is secured to the jamb using an L2x2 clip angle sized to match the stud gauge by the stud width less one-half inch, fastened with three number ten sheet metal screws on each leg. Additional number ten sheet metal screws are spaced at twelve inches on center typically along the top and bottom of the sill.
