A cast-in-place concrete beam intersects with a concrete floor slab. The beam features top reinforcement and bottom reinforcement sized per the structural schedule, with a slab extending per plan where it occurs. Shear reinforcement and additional skin reinforcement are placed along the vertical faces of the beam web. Alternate cross ties provide lateral confinement within the beam section, and the bottom corners of the beam feature a one-inch chamfer.
