A structural steel chevron bracing connection ties diagonal brace members to the underside of a beam. A central gusset plate connects to the beam web with a 90-degree angle layout, utilizing a work point located at half the actual beam depth. Gusset stiffeners of one-half inch thickness are welded to both sides of the gusset plate. The diagonal brace members attach to the gusset plate using bolted connections. Welds sized per the drawing notes secure the assembly.
