A canopy metal deck and veneer support assembly frames into cold-formed steel walls and structural steel beams. A metal deck bears on a WT section centered beneath the veneer, with flutes below the veneer filled with dry-pack grout. An L6x3-1/2x5/16 long-leg horizontal angle connects the cold-formed steel wall stud to the structural steel beam using quarter-inch fillet welds spaced at two inches on center with twelve-inch increments. The metal deck attachment is detailed per plan and references sheet S5.31 for welding requirements. The assembly establishes the bottom of deck elevation at the canopy.
