A wide-flange beam supports both a concrete-topped metal deck with a two-and-a-half-inch minimum bearing and an adjacent roof deck with a two-inch minimum bearing. The concrete slab features a minimum of two number five reinforcing bars for diaphragm reinforcement where not otherwise indicated.
