An L4x3x5/16 by nine-inch long leg vertical structural steel angle connects to a bent plate anchored beneath a concrete slab edge. Two one-half-inch diameter expansion anchors with three-and-a-quarter-inch embedment secure the bent plate to the slab at twelve inches on center. A three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld joins each end of the angle to the plate. A bond beam supports the wall assembly below, maintaining a typical top-of-wall gap.
