A structural steel truss bottom chord bracing connection ties lateral bracing angles to the bottom chord assembly at a working point. Two L6x6x5/16 angles connect back-to-back using intermediate 3/8-inch by 5-inch by 5-inch plate connectors located at third-points along the double-angle span, requiring two connectors total. These bracing angles weld to a 3/8-inch thick ASTM A572 Grade 50 gusset plate with quarter-inch fillet welds applied to three sides typically on each side. The gusset plate aligns with a truss bottom chord member backed by 3/8-inch stiffener plates. Quarter-inch fillet welds secure the connection assembly in accordance with the structural elevation and section details.
