Wide flange beam to wide flange column moment connections feature complete joint penetration welds at the beam flanges with backing bars and weld access holes. The beam web connects with five-sixteenth inch fillet welds. A chamfer and transition is provided at the column flange with tack-welded backing bars, and base plates are anchored with fillet welds. Channels or hollow structural sections are sized per plan.
