An HSS14x4 member connects to an HSS6x6 structural steel member sized per plan. The connection uses L7x4x3/8 angles on each side secured with two three-quarter-inch diameter through bolts. Five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds are applied to three sides typically. A contractor option permits field welding the angles to the HSS in lieu of shop welding.
