An engineered structural steel connection detail displays a wide-flange beam framing into a hollow structural section beam via a full-depth connection plate and end plate. A secondary wide-flange beam connects to a supporting member using double angle connections composed of L5x5x5/16 angles on each side of the beam web, secured with three three-quarter-inch diameter bolts in standard holes on vertical three-inch spacings. A one-quarter-inch fillet weld on three sides connects the assembly, while roof decking bears across the top flange adjacent to an edge angle.
