This connection utilizes full-depth clip angles on both the near side and far side to join a wide-flange beam to a supporting member. The clip angles are welded to the supporting member with a fillet weld sized at five-eighths of the leg thickness. The beam web is bolted to the clip angles using N rows of bolts on a common gauge, with three rows shown for reference at a typical spacing of three inches. The top bolt is positioned one and one-half inches from the top of the clip angle. The clip angle leg extends past the beam cope, maintaining a minimum clearance of three and one-half inches between the supporting member and the beam end, with the bolt line offset by a distance of dc from the beam web.
