This structural section detail shows the concrete pile cap meeting an exterior slab edge with a six-inch thickened edge below the mat slab. The assembly features number nine bars at twelve inches on center at the top of the pile cap and number eight bars at twelve inches on center outside the pile cap, with standard development lengths applied throughout. A number eight Z-bar is bent at the thickened edge. Vertical pile reinforcement extends fifteen inches into the mat slab, and additional bottom bars are provided to either side of the vertical pile reinforcement in both directions.
