Concrete wall and footing intersections require specific lap splices and minimum reinforcing bar arrangements. Two layers of vertical reinforcing bars, sized at a minimum of number five bars, extend into the concrete wall with designated lap splice lengths. Corners incorporate standard hooks on the inner bars to maintain structural continuity and load transfer between intersecting members.
