A rooftop unit curb bears on a steel channel located within the deck flutes, which sits atop a metal deck supported by a roof joist. Tapered blocking is installed beneath the curb bearing flange. A one-eighth inch fillet weld secures the assembly through the deck. The actual configuration of the frame to support the mechanical unit is supplied by the mechanical engineer.
