A heavy flange splice connection is centered on a structural chord member. The connection utilizes outside flange plates fastened with sixty 1 1/4-inch diameter Group B bolts in standard holes spaced at 4 inches on center. The bolt configuration features six bolts per row on each flange, with equal spacing across the 1'-4" depth. Edge distances and spacing dimensions of 2 inches, 3 inches, and 4 inches are specified across the joint symmetrically about the center line.
