Concrete walls feature vertical reinforcing bars and horizontal lap splices at corners and intersections. Single mat and double mat configurations detail the placement of vertical bars, with four number five vertical bars typical unless otherwise noted at intersections, and two number five vertical bars typical for other conditions. Ninety-degree hooks terminate horizontal reinforcement at corners, where separate corner bars may be used in lieu of bent bars. Alternate bends are provided for vertical reinforcement typical.
