A cold-formed steel soffit joist connects to a vertical wall stud framed with an XXXT150-43 track profile matching the stud width. The connection is secured with one number 10 screw at each flange and fastened to the vertical stud with two number 10 screws each. The joist is sized per plan and frames directly into the vertical stud assembly.
