A continuous wide-flange beam frames over a wide-flange or hollow structural section column, secured by a three-quarter-inch plate connected with four three-quarter-inch diameter A325N bolts unless noted otherwise. One-half-inch stiffener plates are welded to each side of the beam web using three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on three sides, conforming to American Institute of Steel Construction specifications. The connection plate width matches the beam flange width or is sized as required per plan. Column sizes are specified per structural framing plans.
