An existing hollow structural section column connects to a concrete footing using an existing 2-inch by 24-inch by 2-foot-6-inch base plate welded to a new 2-inch by 7-inch by 2-foot-0-inch plate with a complete joint penetration weld. Four existing 1-1/4-inch diameter by 4-foot-0-inch anchor bolts secure the assembly alongside epoxy anchor bolts referenced in the schedule. Non-shrink grout is placed beneath the base plate over the footing with additional grout added as required, and an existing 2-inch by 24-inch by 2-foot-0-inch shear key extends below the plate into the footing.
