A structural steel davit support offset at a column features a socket pedestal welded to a three-quarter-inch by twelve-inch square base plate. The supporting beam connects to the column web with a shear tab and four bolts. One-half-inch stiffener plates are welded between the beam flanges and on each side of the web. Welds include quarter-inch, three-eighths-inch, and five-sixteenths-inch fillet welds securing the plates to the column web and flanges.
