A continuous masonry wall runs parallel to a wide flange steel beam supporting a concrete slab on steel deck. The wall connects to the underside of the beam using an L4x3x5/16 by one-foot angle welded with three-sixteenths fillet welds at each end to a plate, and secured with two five-eighths-inch diameter threaded studs at nine-inch gauge welded to the bottom flange with finger-tight nuts and peened threads. A bent plate measuring five-sixteenths by four inches by one foot three inches wide is installed with a vertical lateral slip link and two one-half-inch diameter anchor rods at twelve inches on center grouted in the cell. A plate measuring one-quarter by fifteen inches by two feet three inches is anchored to the concrete deck flute with four three-quarter-inch diameter expansion anchors with a three-and-one-quarter-inch minimum embedment at twelve inches on center.
